Notepad3 (64-bit) v5.20.212.3 RC1 through v5.20.213.7 RC1
When the cursor is at the beginning of a line that is not the first line, pressing the left arrow used to move the cursor to the end of the previous line. Now it does not; the cursor remains at the beginning of the line.
A repeat of issues #144, #348.
Sorry, an old well known (but forgotten) bug re-introduced while solving issue #1911.
Thanks for reporting 馃憤 .
Feel free to test the RC1 version "Notepad3Portable_5.20.216.1_RC1.paf.exe.7z" or higher.
See "Notepad3 BETA-channel access issue #1129" or here Notepad3Portable_5.20.216.1_RC1.paf.exe.7z.
Note: "Notepad3Portable RC1" can be used in "2 flavors" (with or without the extension ".7z").

Whoa - when opening the archive for 5.20.216.1_RC1 on my computer (Windows 10 Enterprise 1909 x64), Windows Security is reporting it as malicious, and deleting the file:

False positive?
The archive for 5.20.216.2_RC1 has opened OK, however - and the initially reported issue is indeed fixed - thank you.
The VirusTotal reports for both builds do not read well, though:
@craigo- : Yes this is a "False Positive", cause I checked the downloads from WorkUpLoad.com against my local builds and they are identical. The local builds are created from same GitHub source code and I always check the size of the executable - there is no significant change in size (except the small amounts caused by bug fixes and new features), which would occur, if a malicious software on my local machine would inject a Trojan module into the build artifacts.
They have similar sizes as the build artifacts downloaded from the AppVeyor builds (AppVeyor environment is assumed to be virus free).
Pure checks of Notepad3.exe and minipath.exe (64-bit) on VirusTotal show clean results (0/71),
so I assume, that something of the PortableApps packaging triggers those "False Positives" ... 馃
OK, thanks for the explanation. Closing this issue.
Not the main subject. Chrome also detects and deletes files.
Perhaps worthy of a separate issue?
@hpwamr : Please open as a separate issue 馃枑
