Without bells and whistles (starting with code folding, ending with "rendering technology") - just the regex engine on top of syntax coloring, config saving/parsing and the smallest regex engine? The size of the binary is like Notepad++ and it does have a lot more things.
To quote from a different thread : "Notepad3 intends not to replace Notepad++ or any other MDI-Editor which is closer to an IDE than to a simple text editor."
The "light-weight" on the home page sounds like cruel joke on a visitor coming by in a search for just a bit better Notepad2.
