Esc key just removes tooltip but it appears again and I can't close window. I need to do more actions in this situation. I need to look for my mouse to move out cursor, for example. 馃槈
If any tooltip is active, ESC closes the tooltip instead of closing the window, same with active auto completion.
If you don't want this, disable the hyperlink tooltip (View->Display->Show Hyperlink Tooltip).
At my side the "Esc" key closes Notepad3. 馃槙
Tested with: Notepad3 (64-bit) v5.19.717.2394 BETA Out-of-the-Box,
Have I missed something ? 馃
The tooltip is shown after a short period of time (mouse hoover property). The ESC-Key closes the tooltip, but if the mouse cursor is still over hyperlink, the tooltip is reactivated. Permanently pressing the ESC-Key increases the chance of hitting the very small interval of time, before the tooltip is reactivated (hard to hit by fast triggering of the key).
@alexantr wants to close the window on the first short key-press.
Hello @alexantr ,
As far as I'm concerned, I think you (as requester) can close this issue...
Okay
If I may readdress this issue: in no other program I know of, this behavior is presented, nor is it acceptable (imho). If you press ESC to get rid of the tooltip, the tooltip should NOT reappear until the mouse cursor _re-_ enters the area of the hyperlink. Otherwise you might as well remove the "close tooltip with ESC" behavior altogether and just close the window when pressing ESC (if configured to do so). To be honest, the latter would have my preference anyway. It's not common at all that there is keyboard interaction with tooltips in Windows anyway.
Currently, proper use of the ESC key is completely blocked by the tooltip's behavior. Press-and-hold ESC as suggested is not a solution at all, because then the pressed ESC button could _also_ interact with the window that is activated after Notepad3 has closed. This can introduce a shitload of unintended behavior.

Please be patient, because for personal reasons, @RaiKoHoff is taking a break.... 馃
@hpwamr Sorry didn't know that. Was unsure if without @ -ing, you would see this closed issue.
@RaiKoHoff Hope everything is/will be OK!
Hello @ltGuillaume , Please test, it should work as you requested. 馃槂
Feel free to test the BETA version "Notepad3Portable_5.19.1113.2673_BETA" or higher.
