Hi. Is there an option or any way to disable multi-selection?
I somehow trigger it by mistake when editing and end up messing things up. Having the option, I would prefer to disable it.
In other editors (like Notepad++ for example) I leave it enabled. But for some reason I don't seem to unintentionally trigger it (or at least not as much).
P.S. selection + CTRL+SHIFT+SPACE to select all instances (and then edit them) is amazing. I love it. The problem comes when editing fast while using CTRL (to copy / paste, jump whole words, etc.) and clicking somewhere before completely lifting the key. I think that's how I trigger multi-selection unintentionally.
Update:
I thought the problem was with multi-selection bugging me somehow (sometimes it does, but it's not what's happening here).
It turns out that the issue is with modifier KEYS getting stuck (SHIFT, ALT, CTRL) (I'm not sure which ones yet). Pressing the key again doesn't solve the issue. And while trying to regain control of the keyboard I end up messing things up, triggering multi-selection, or just restarting notepad3 out of frustration.
Steps to reproduce:
I haven't been able to reproduce the issue consistently with a series of steps, but it started to happen a couple of days ago since I updated to the current master branch. I'll post an update once I'm able to pin down the issue.
I haven't been able to reproduce the problem. Maybe was a fluke in my computer. Maybe it's the fact that I'm not actually editing much lately. In any case, I'm closing the issue.
@omega32: I encountered a similar problem (where it seems that a "modifier key gets stuck"), but I haven't been able to reproduce it either
If this problem gets reproducible, we can reopen this issue.
Thank you for using Notepad3.
