This error happends when i compile thingsboard 2.2.0

-Dassembly.skipAssembly=true did the trick..
mvn install -DskipTests -Dassembly.skipAssembly=true -Dgpg.skip=true

Please remove ‘npm-modules‘ directory inside module and rebuild project. This issue can be reproduced in all modules that use npm. Please update this ticket when you will try this workaround.

This is most likely local problem. Try to clear maven cache (~/.m2) or node_modules in ui and js_executor folders. ThingsBoard team is using Ubuntu 18 and everything builds ok for all the projects.

I have tried clearing the cache and am building on Ubuntu 18.04 with the same error. Using release-3.0 branch.

I solved this issue after running maven with '-X' and found npm was throwing a warning '...cannot run in wd...' which turns out to be related to a permissions issue that was preventing npm from building (see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18136746/npm-install-failed-with-cannot-run-in-wd). The quick and dirty solution was to change the argument for npm install execution from 'install' to 'install --unsafe-perm' in the pom.xml of the offending project(s). Or a better way would be to specify 'unsafe-perm = true' in .npmrc where all projects running npm can see the file.

-Dassembly.skipAssembly=true did the trick..
mvn install -DskipTests -Dassembly.skipAssembly=true -Dgpg.skip=true

you guys can't blame local enviroment all the time,when one guy refer to this problem,that maybe local enviroment problem,but when may guys refer to this,i think you'd better think about how to solve this!
