Synergy-core: Synergy text looks bad on Retina displays on macOS

macOS Sierra 10.12.3

Synergy Version

1.8.8

Steps to reproduce bug

  1. Open the main Synergy UI window
  2. Notice that all of the text is pixelated and ugly and hard to read.
  3. Open the Preferences. Also ugly.
  4. Open the About dialog. Also ugly.
  5. Profit?

Other info

  • When did the problem start to occur? On MacBook Pros with Retina displays
  • Is there a way to work around it? No
  • Does this bug prevent you from using Synergy entirely? No

I know other Retinal display issues were reported, but I didn't see one for the general text rendering problem.

Similar high DPI issues occur on Windows. This is currently low priority while we a develop a brand new GUI for Synergy v2.0

Can confirm with Macbook Pro Retina mid 2012 running Sierra 10.12.3

Similar high DPI issues occur on Windows. This is currently low priority while we a develop a brand new GUI for Synergy v2.0
