This might be intended or a platform issue (Windows 7), but I had the urge to file this.
@McLoo Is this still reproducible on windows?
Ahh, fixed it? So that's why I had no notifications during my last tests...
Will check thoroughly within the next 24 hours
Windows 7 test with 0.1.3 (dev mode, not beta programm)
notification if
_NO_ notification if
(nearly) perfect behavior.
Not sure about the case when you are in another convo. One might miss the unread counter (unless there would sth. like the good old ICQ-"oh-oh"). Leaving the issue open therefore.
_(Tested with two signal desktops, is there some local transport done? Ultra fast! :+1: )_
gee, this issue was about the taskbar, not conversations!
me stupid :flushed:
No taskbar (blinking) anymore. In no case, which is fine because we got the above documented chrome notifications :)
It really should be happening though. Can you try calling window.drawAttention() in the background page (while signal window is open of course). Does that trigger blinking?
Done with Chrome 47.0.2526.73 m
No attention drawn. Hope I did it right (in the Console)
> window.drawAttention()
< undefined
What I - JS noob - noticed
test window.drawAttention() again on 0.3.1
Now it draws the attention,
but an incoming message do not always didn't figure out the pattern yet. draw attention is called all the time according to the log
sometimes there is no attention
sometimes a short blink (without clear attention being called)
sometimes the the attention is drawn :tada:
no real pattern visible yet :disappointed:
One receipt of a new message:
Signal 0.25.3
Chrome 54.0.2840.71 m
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit version 1607 (Anniverary Update)
I have a weird issue on windows 10, the icon in the taskbar blinks for no reasons, no message received but blinking.
I have a log here, don't worry about the last few lines I played with temporary messages.
What's important is the lines between 2017-06-28T13:31:28 and 2017-06-28T13:36:44
You see no new messages received or sent for 5 minutes but the icon was blinking.
I expect this this is fixed in the new Standalone app.
