Signal-desktop: [Feature request] transfer file and info between phone and desktop

One feature that I like a lot in Telegram is to have a chat thread with yourself.

With the desktop client installed, that allows you to really easily exchange text or files between your phone and your computer.

Hi there. When I pull up my desktop instance, and send a message to my own number, it appears on my Android app. Are you not seeing that?
