Hi @DDdgf
if for you is acceptable to install an unsigned build, I've prepared one that has an alternative way to invoke the guide.
Beside holding the Win key, it also shows the guide when using Win + ? (in case of a US keyboard it's Win + shift + /).
Let me know if you can test it.
Thanks.

I can't do an unsigned build, but I have a similar issue. Windows key does nothing when held, launches start menu on release. running 0.19 as well, however I have my right alt key mapped to win key, since I don't have a windows key and I suspect this maybe related to the issue.

@workuser1234
in 0.20 we will release the option to use Win + ?.

@enricogior

in 0.20 we will release the option to use Win + ?.

Only that, or custom hotkey like Run has? Would be nice 馃檪

@rasenplanscher
custom hotkeys are causing all sort of problems in PT Run, we don't want to go down the same road with Shortcut Guide. The Win + ? is an application shortcut that is supposed to work in all cases, including when PowerToys runs as a user and an elevated app is on the foreground.

I was not aware of that situation. Of course, until custom keyboard shortcuts become reliable, a fixed keyboard shortcut is the way to go. 馃憤

@rasenplanscher
is it still not working for you in 0.20?
If not, what about Win + ? (depending on your keyboard it may be Win + Shift + ?)

@enricogior
Tried in 0.20.1, and it works with Win+Shift+/?, albeit with the issue mentioned in https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/issues/5458#issuecomment-667696650
