When moving a window out of a fancy zone it should resize to it's original size before being snapped into the fancy zone. This would operate like the existing Windows snap feature.
Perhaps add this as an option as the current implementation may be preferred by some.

I found a temporary workaround, while I don't like it, works. When dragging into a zone make sure your window is touching the edge of the desktop so if FancyZones weren't active it would snap regularly. FancyZones however takes precedence and resizes it to the correct size and puts in the correct location, but when dragging the window away from where you placed it it will resize back to as it was before.

I didn't realize there was also issue https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/issues/282 for the same feature request.

More awkwardly described, but that's exactly what I wanted to say :)
The "FancyZones" are fantastic. That's what I was looking for.
I miss a function that would make working much easier for me.
I definitely want to use "FanyZones" to store remote computers in a grid.
So reduced, I can see what's happening and pull out the appropriate window to keep working on it.
But it would be important for FancyZones to remember how big the window was before I put it in the FancyZone. Otherwise I have to restore the size manually.
It would be great if this function could be added.
