I'd recommend specifically to integrate Standard Notes' FileSafe protocol for secure file attachments - it integrates with Google Drive, Dropbox and WebDAV, and transparently uses end-to-end encryption for your files.
This is a great way to avoid the well-known privacy concerns of hosting your files with Google or Dropbox, which is important for many users of open-source software.
