Notepad3 window size

Tests done with "_develop_3.18.502.1009"

Display: 1920x1080:

• "Out-of-the-Box": The NP3 window occupies more than half of the screen ! 🤔

• Snap to Default Position (Ctrl+Shift+P : The NP3 window is resized just half of the screen ! 🤔

Exactly the same behavior with : Display: 1366x768

From the source code, there are different "default" positions:
If nothing is specified within the .ini-file (section [Window]) on NP3 window creation time, the Windows API value CW_USEDEFAULT is used to get a "default" window position from the operating system assiged.
On the other hand Notepad3 has internal default positions :

• call: Notepad3.exe /PD == (Ctrl+Shift+P)
  or
  /P0 or (/PS == /PD) or /PDL or /PL or /PR or /PT or /PB or /PF or /PM
  I don't like to have Accelerator-Keys for all of them 😲

I think you misunderstood me? 🤔
I thought that the size of the Notepad3 window after a new installation (Out-of-the-box) would be at least as the same size as the RESET size proposed by Snap to Default Position (Ctrl+Shift+P) ? 😏

Initial default should be same as /PD = /PS = Ctrl+Shift+P

I am guess a new feature born from this Feature-request/Issue-Ticket is causing my problem...

All of my newly opened windows go to a specific window size and shape that IS NOT what I have set in the ini file for the optimal starting size I recorded years ago...

present in builds
Notepad 3 (v3.18.503.1012)(Portable)(DevBuild)(x64) was using when I noticed it...
Notepad 3 (v3.18.503.1013)(Portable)(DevBuild)(x64) as well

so Idk why this is happening... :-(

You are right, definitely Noptepad3 must retain user defined positions 🤔

Your issue seems fixed with Notepad3 (64-bit) develop v3.18.504.1014 😃

Much better, the new "NP3 windows settings" and the new affectation of "F11" / "Ctrl+F11. 👍
Now, two NP3 windows side by side can perfectly occupy a full screen. 😃
