  What did you do? Please explain the steps you took before you encountered the problem.
  I used a gradient color, but the project is ok before upgrading ae 2018.
  What did you expect to happen?
  Display the correct color

@bodymovin Well, thanks, I use AE to create a simple circle, fill the gradient color, and output json file, help to see where the error occurred.

Ok, Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 actual. and same previous . Before I used the same version ( 14.2.0 198 ) . The problem comes from New Version After

@bodymovin version 5.0.1 the same, I think this should be plug-in ae2018 support there is a problem. Still thank you. However, I am looking forward to fixing this problem. Because the gradient is a very important feature support.

well, I have same problem! I use AE CC 2018 and bodymovin version is 5.0.3..
btw, both of my OS and AE language is Chinese

@bibubi 目前只能临时将渐变的用纯色来设计，渐变色也不用删，把小眼睛关了即可。

@wyfang 貌似找到原因了，合成的名字必须带“comp”是不是要开头还没试。用comp就正常显示了2018

我是看了作者说数值是有的，但可能索引出了问题，于是就试试改成默认的合成命名，要改project里面的那个名字哦，那个才是id，“
「comp」”这个貌似只是命名而已
我这几天试了都还行，只要不是comp，甚至后面加其他单词都会变黑白渐变

@wyfang @BalzacV 解决了，是中文版本 AE 的原因，你可以修改 AE 语言或者把路径里面的形状以及渐变填充重名为为英文名称就行。如下图所示：
