Live-share: Signing in loop

I open Live Share, click "Sign in with GitHub" it redirects me to "Joining Visual Studio Live Share session with (user)" then it doesnt open up Visual Studio Code, and the bottom right bar ("Signing in...") is there stuck in a loop.

@Iskawo : thanks for reporting this issue! Sorry to hear you're having trouble signing in. Can you give us more details about the actions you are taking that lead to the sign in problems? If you can describe the sign in flow you're experiencing it will help us isolate the issue.

ex:

1. Clicked on Live Share button from VS Code task bar
2. Selected "Sign in with Microsoft"
3. Was presented with a prompt and clicked Open Link
   ...
