Hello @carloscuesta :sunglasses:!
:sunglasses: I really wanted to like this one, but I think that a more universal symbol for a11y may be more appropriate.
Not only is a11y not just for the web (as you stated), but there are many types of disabilities affecting people who use the web, not just blindness. I was searching to try and find one that was more universal, but haven't found anything good yet.
Emojis are representations of things, such as blindness can be seen as a representation of disabilities in general. Of course, the sunglasses emoji does not represent all kinds of disabilities there are. But neither does the :bug: emoji represent all kinds of issues with some code. The inportant thing IMO is that the sunglasses emoji can be seen as a symbol for all kinds of disabilities.
I understand your thought. We aren't going to be able to cover all bases with a single emoji, that much is true.
What do you think about the ♿️ emoji then? Would it not be more appropriate if you want it to be representative of all kinds of disabilities? This is something that is seen in day-to-day life to signify something being accessible.
The unfortunate bit is that I don't like how that wheelchair emoji looks, so maybe it's not the best one to use.
My opinon is :art: can be used for this subject.
:art: Improving structure / format of the code.
@WaKeMaTTa adding aria attributes definetely isn't something that improves the structure / format of the code. :art: refers to making code align with the style guidelines, and aria attributes aren't part of that.
@danieldafoe Didn't know the ♿️ emoji existed! That certainly is a better one, even though its kinda clumsy.
@NeoLegends I agree, quite clumsy. Not sure why whomever decided on this symbol didn't just use the typical person in wheelchair instead of one where the person looks like they're in a wheelchair race.
The ♿️ looks good to me!
Feel free to send a PR! @NeoLegends
Ahh you beat me!
