Facebook-for-woocommerce: Plugin Is Constantly Wanting To Update

I go to update but then it constantly wants to update again and again.

Thanks Bjarne. Looks like there's no solution still.

Your latest versions don't have the latest version number. They all say 1.9.7 not 1.9.10 that could be the issue right there. Needless to say you have multiple people freaking out.

Experiencing the exact same problem. I can click on update, and it tells me it's updating. But after it's finished it just shows the update again: no change in the currently installed version, and still an update from 1.9.7 to v1.9.10 (note the added "v" in the latter).

A fix would be greatly appreciated.

Advertiser running current ads with info generated from this plugin . . . and I have the exact same issue. 1.9.8 had an update to install (supposed to be 1.9.10) . . . updated to 1.9.7 and now has perpetual update to install. Never changes after updating.

This has been fixed by newest version. Can you guys try to pull the new code, and see that solved the problem

From which repository FB? GH or WP?

Only the Github one seems to work. It's been 40 mins and have asked to updare. The WP repository one still wants to update. Thanks

Same issue for me. I haven't updated to WP 5.1 yet. Has anybody had any success in deleting and reinstalling the plugin and, if so, what were the ramifications? i.e. having to completely reconfigure everything on FB? TIA!

@WebGuyBob I didn't have any issues. So far so good. The Github one worked. Didn't even bother trying from the WP repository. All products are loading fine on Facebook and dialed into Instagram.

I wouldn't resync or anything. I would just check both WP backend and make sure it says connected. Then check Facebook also and make sure it says connected. We've been tagging products on IG since updating and haven't run into any issues. Yet 馃槉

Awesome! I don't have an IG integration yet, so that lessens my overall level of complexity.

Got it. That's our most important platform. Which all trickles down from the Facebook catalog. Have a good one

Having this same issue and don't feel comfortable trying to do the workaround myself or un/re-install.

Also noticed yesterday that it's alternating between offering to update to 1.9.10 and 1.9.11 ...

The WP-repo version is now at 1.9.11 - I succesfully installed this one yesterday and is no longer having this trouble

bjarne, I noticed an issue with that one. Posted about it yesterday. You'll see an error shortly. You may also see various prices for same product if you're tagging in Instagram.

We had to revert back to Github Repo master. I'll be testing Instagram pricing issue today since we have to wait for sync

I manually changed the directory-name to ".bak" directly on the server for the existing plugin and installed the new one (1.9.11) and then deleted the old one through the plugins WP-admin-page

I fear you may see same issues but let us know what you find. The issue pops up within 24 to 36 hours. Depending on your sync time. Usually it's at midnight or 11pm.

Same Problem... its not updating and not syncing to fb. Constantly skipping between .10 and .11 as the newest Version, but keeps jumping to .7 Also products are not syncing. Will we get an automated notice once the problem has been figured out, if we post here, or do we have to come back and check? Appreciate your help guys. Keep on rocking.
