It to work?
It broke.
Upgrading to WooCommerce 3.0
Can you provide a link to a page which shows this issue?
With the update to Woocommerce 3.0 you are not able to update any existing product data. In addition you encounter the same problem when trying to add a new product. Essentially the the product data box is non functional, so no shipping, inventory, attributes, variable and general selections are non-operative.
Deactivating the plugin allowed everything to function properly.
thanks @drnick2 I've been so busy reporting bugs for WooCommerce 3.0 I got lazy here.
I can confirm what you have stated above is correct and the plugin is not compatible with this version of WC.
I've deactivated the Yoast SEO plugin as well to restore functionality of everything in the back end. Hopefully there is a patch soon to resolve this because WordPress without Yoast feels weird.
no patch needed
not a WordPress SEO bug
bug is elsewhere
.org is the place for free support
github is for bugs

I am having same issue, when I upgrade woocommerce 3.0, product page stop working
@BurlesonBrad I'm running a clean WordPress Install with Latest Version of WooCommerce & Yoast SEO and this issue still persists.
I can confirm the same - with a clean install and only Woocommerce and Yoast SEO, there are a couple javascript errors in the console. Looks like it might be related to the "select2" v4 update.
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/2.6.x-to-3.0.0-Developer-Migration-Notes#select2-version-4
@BurlesonBrad This is an issue with Woocommerce 3.0 and Yoast SEO when it comes to updating or changing current or new product data, everything else seemed to be working as far as receiving new orders.
Not until you deactivate Yoast can you actually change or update product data.
Both versions of select2 cannot work together so it breaks the product page. If yoast could update to the new Select2 version asap, it would be pretty awesome since for now I cannot live without any of these two plugins...
Also, Primary Category functionality is gone.
Thanks for reporting this issue. Unfortunately we've been unable to reproduce this with Yoast SEO 4.5 and WooCommerce 3.0.
Could you please answer the following questions for us?
Hi Caroline,
We are using Salient 7.6 and the latest versions of WooCommerce and Yoast.
Attached is a screenshot of the JS error and details of our WP setup.
With the new error, most JS functions on the Product Edit page are disabled, as is Primary Category functionality.

@cjwebdev We'd like to solve this issue asap, could you please e-mail us at [email protected] and mention this ticket? As we cannot reproduce this, we would like to get access to the WordPress admin of your website. This will allow us to look at your specific setup and help us find a solution.
For increased security, we advise you to create a new admin user for us. Please also include a link to your admin login page, for example: http://www.example.com/wp-admin/.
The above applies to everyone who runs into this issue. Please e-mail us at [email protected], mention this ticket and create an admin account for us so we can find a solution asap. Thanks in advance.
@CarolineGeven The incompatibility may actually be with WooCommerce Smart Coupons.
I did a local install of WordPress with the Twenty Seventeen theme and only 3 plugins: Yoast SEO 4.5, WooCommerce 3.0 and WooCommerce Smart Coupons 3.2.1.
The error starts showing up when editing a Product if Smart Coupons is activated.
@jtleathers Thanks for letting us know. Does the error also occur with WooCommerce 3.0 and Smart Coupons active and Yoast SEO inactive?
@CarolineGeven No, it only occurs if both Smart Coupons and Yoast SEO are active. It goes away if you deactivate one or the other.
@jtleathers Thanks for the fast response. Can you please email us at [email protected] and mention this ticket? We'd like to get to the bottom to this. As we cannot reproduce this, we would like to get access to the WordPress admin of your website.
For increased security, we advise you to create a new admin user for us. Please also include a link to your admin login page.
@CarolineGeven I'll put this site online and send some login info to that email address. In the meantime, I was able to get the error to stop by commenting out a single line of jQuery in the Smart Coupons main plugin file:
jQuery( this ).select2( select2_args ).addClass( 'enhanced' );
Doing so probably breaks functionality but it might help narrow down the issue.
Thanks for this, @jtleathers. We'll look into this with the Smart Coupons extension.
I have the same problem. The "Product Data" section does not work in WooCommerce. I can not intervene because it is an e-commerce site. I have a problem with ordering for Joyetech Shop Sites.
Thanks for all the help with finding the issue. We've been able to find the issue. The fix will probably be released with the next update, which is scheduled for next week.
Thank you, we are excited to update.
Caroline, obviously this compatibility issue renders our websites product sections useless. We update and add/remove products daily. Can you provide a fix we can apply ourselves before the update?
Cheers,
Antony.
I am also facing issues using Yoast plugin with Woocommerce . I had to disable the plugin since last 3 days so that woocommerce works properly.
@AntBentinck My colleague from support informed me that he already had contact with you, is that correct? Unfortunately we're unable to place betas here, as we cannot guarantee the plugin's stable.
@dealsediscount The release is scheduled for Tuesday, for now there's nothing more I can do for you than to tell you to either wait for the update, or find the third party plugin/theme that's causing the conflict. WooCommerce 3.0 and Yoast SEO work together, but an extra plugin or theme might cause the conflict you're facing. This will be solved next release.
Hello,
I've got a new input, my woocommerce 3.0 and yoast seo 4.5 is working fine with firefox, but shows the mentioned bug with google chrome. hope this somehow helps.
Cheers
Lukas
Hi all,
Thank you for reporting this.
I've tested the latest version of Yoast SEO, alongside WooCommerce 3.0.4, and all looks to be functioning correctly.
Thanks again for reporting this.
