Not sure which videos they attempted to play. Will poke around a bit to infer the environment or repro.
@miketaylr: if we wanted to pass information (via an additional query-string parameter to https://webcompat.com/issues/new?src=browser-fxr) such as headset name (e.g., Oculus oculusvr, Google daydream, HTC wavevr), would that be possible? Or shall I continue this discussion by filing an issue in this repo as a feature request to the WebCompat.com Django backend?

Yep, it should be possible now, either via a JSON.stringified details param, or sending that data via POST. It ends up as a unordered list inside the Browser Configuration details element:
@karlcow, did we document the new architecture? Can you help @cvan here?

I added an API description section there and planned to document the new way. Let's be optimist THIS WEEK :)
@cvan Could you open an issue on https://github.com/webcompat/webcompat.com/issues with your request? :) API is lightly documented.
I am unable to reproduce this issue. I was able to play in VR the following videos:
https://webxr.today/merger
https://webxr.today/inside-the-sound
Tested with:
Browser / Version: Firefox Reality v. 1.1.2
Operating System: Oculus Go
I would close this as Worksforme, but giving the fact that there's an unrelated discussion thread here, I'll do it later (maybe after @cvan logs the issue on the webcompat project).
This issue has been automatically locked since there has not been any recent activity after it was closed. Please open a new issue at https://webcompat.com/issues/new if you are experiencing a similar problem.
