Transgui: Top menubar missing

Created on 14 Mar 2020  路  5Comments  路  Source: transmission-remote-gui/transgui

Hi, I accidentally hid my top menubar and can't figure out how to get them back. Can anyone help with this? To clarify this is the app menu, not the menu items in the window toolbar. See screenshot below.

The only item in there is Transmission Remote GUI, and I can't click it, nor does any commands work like Command+Q.

MacOS 10.14.6
Transmission Remote GUI 5.18.0

Very non-obvious. The other big problem is the accessibility information isn't present, so utilities that automatically discover keyboard shortcuts don't work with transgui.

I had this same issue on Linux and Ctrl+F12 wouldn't fix it for me. I finally managed to fix it by editing ~/.config/Transmission Remote GUI/transgui.ini and setting Menu=1.

I have to say, not being able to re-enable the menu bar from the interface after hiding it is a pretty bad design...

control + F12 does it in macOS Big Sur too
