Toolkit-for-ynab: [FEATURE REQUEST] More Accurate Days of Buffer/Runway Calculation

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Days of Buffer Calculation shows negative

Describe the solution you'd like
When calculating an accurate "Days of Buffer," credit card/loan debt should not be included. Days of Buffer, or Runway, should include only liquid/cash accounts. When including debt, or negative accounts, your runway would be back in time instead of days in the future. It makes no sense, and is not helpful.

I'd add a suggestion to this that including / excluding specific spending categories would really help make Days of Buffering more informative.

Two examples in mind:

  • Say I buy a big-ticket item like a car, my average daily outflow shoots up, which is true. But in reality, my day-to-day spending hasn't actually increased. So it understates how much buffer I have.
  • If, say, my wife and I losing our jobs, we would go into actual 'Buffer Mode' and limit our spending to certain categories - groceries, bills, mortgage. So while I might have 3 months DoB, if something did happen and we went into 'Buffering Mode', it's might actually be closer to 6 months.

DoB is a really great addition to the toolkit!

Seconded on all suggestions. Just refinanced a loan and got hit by this. There was no additional spend, but it's messed with my average daily spend.

We use Trello to track Feature Requests so that users can vote on what they'd like to see next. This is crucial for us since there are so many requests and so little time amongst those of us who work on the Toolkit.

Your feature request has been added here and will need to be manually sorted.
