Hi!
Is there a plan to introduce the ability to group lists? For example like in folders.
FolderXY/GroupXY
|-->ListA
|-->ListB
ListC
Yeah I am planning to add the ability to group lists into collapsible folders
I'm not sure that this is a good idea : there would be no way to sync folders with caldav, since it's not a standard feature, and would somehow lock the way you organize tasks to only tasks.org, by making it impossible to synchronize with other caldav compatible software.
Instead of grouping Lists, I would group Tasks, and group Tasks groups.
Basically I would gain advantage from the ability to build an infinite hierarchy of tasks : a List can be seen as a Task grouping Tasks.
Here is the pathway : see a task as a folder and subtasks as tasks attached to that folder. I'm coming from 2do, and there is this concept of Project which is merely a "typed" task, and tasks into a project are merely subtasks of the "typed" task. It means that when you create a subtask to a task, the task become typed as a project which is a folder for tasks. You could even group Projects into a Folder aka List, which would be from caldav point of view a three task level (task, subtask, subsubtask). And so on.
Then you would be able to list all projects/folder in the drawer, and be able to sort your projects and so on.
You might also type your project as as checklist and change the icon for that in the drawer. From the caldav point of view, it's always task and subtasks, from tasks.org, they might be folders, projects or checklists. Maybe there is a way to add this typing information hidden in a caldav task field... Or attach this information to a tag, for instance a #project tag would change the type of the task and same for a #checklist tag.
Thus tasks.org would stay compatible with caldav.
