Would be nice to have an option to disable the notifications. Maybe there is
but wasn't able to spot it.

What notifications do you mean? The ones for script updates or generally all?

yes, just in general. an option for auto updating (like GMs) would eliminate
the need for the script update prompt as well.

Ah ok, at least the auto update option is now part of TM beta.

Please offer option to disable the notifications. It's bloody annoying to have
a "look at me" distraction pop up every time I open chrome on any computer. We
all do a lot of work to stop spammy pop-ups and unwanted distractions, why is
tampermonkey adding to t his problem?

What notifications do you mean? You can control them with these three settings:
"Show TM update notification" -> no
"Allow overwrite scriptblocker settings" -> no
"Don't ask me for simple script updates" -> yes
The values after settings are the settings that disable the popup/confirmation
dialog.

Thanks for your reply. Where do I find those settings?
Original comment by [email protected] on 10 Apr 2013 at 2:36
In the beta I believe.

At both, TM stable and beta:
* click at the TM icon, at the upper right -> select "Dashboard" at TM
Beta/"Options" at TM Stable
* Click at the "Settings" tab and
* make sure "Config mode" is set to "Advanced"
Now you should be able to see the mentioned options.

BTW: the latest releases should fix the problem with the mistakenly too often
shown script blocker pop-up.
