Suitecrm: 7.11.0 workflow with emails error 500

Issue

After uprade o 7.11.0 all workflow related with sending email stopped working.
All actions which are logic hooks which should send an email give user error 500.

Workflow are seen as in progress but nothing happens even after 48h.
No information in logs even on error level.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create workflow which action include send email option
2. Run it

For example
Send email if name of field changes.

I tested it on demo installation and problem occurs also in there.

This is critical element of our company installation.

I am also facing the same issue, any workflow which has an email in returns a 500 error.
I have also noticed the group email account has disappeared and when you try to add a new group email account you receive error messages either refusing the connection or the username and password incorrect even if they are copied from notepad.

7.10.12 is only way i can help you :(

Can you please check your web server logs? You turn them on in your php.ini and specify the file name (usually php_errors.log). Then restart your web server.

Then you should be able to see what is breaking PHP in that log. This would be of great help in order to fix the problem. Thanks

It's just a quick attempt at a fix, I didn't really look at this properly, so don't be surprised if it doesn't work...

Done that, looks the same.

Its really strange anything to with IMAP is having an issue e.g group mail boxes work flows etc, SMTP is fine and manual emails are working. The logs contain the same as above.

Added PHP lint so we can hopefully avoid this in the future.

We upgraded from 7.10.11 to 7.11.1 to avoid email issues and have now inhereted exactly the same issue, clearly. All system emails are not working as described above.

Additionally however each time we do an upgrade we get a new System Email created and it is not clear in the Manual which is the live system account. The manual refers to the system email, never by an actual name, but various images show it as "system" but also more recently as "SuiteCRM" in places. Some clarity would be good.

Similarly some clarity on how to fix the above system/workflow error. ie which fixes do we need to apply. Or how soon will it be before 7.11.2 be released, as 7.11.1 is totally broken. Thanks in advance. (Dillon-Brown you are like a #TimeLord you deserve a Doctorate already :))

I have this issue to in 7.11.7 - still not fixed. Suite CRM log:

I'm not sure how to read the issue here and what the fix is for now as I can't create cases from Emails as a result of it and i'm well and truly stuck :-) I've checked the file and I can see it's up to date with the changed file.

Additional Note: Have upgraded to 7.11.8 but still not working - I haven't see the warnings for a while though (over the last couple of hours). Still clearly incredibly problematic.

I have a fresh install of 7.11.8. Personal email works correctly.
When I do a campaign the test list works correctly and when I use a small list of 10 targets using the cron, the emails are received.
When I send a list of 1500, 60 at a time I get:
Sun Sep 8 17:49:02 2019 [30489][1][ERROR] ImapHandler trying to use a non valid resource stream.

The emails bounce into the bounce-other folder.

Well, I backed up my database, wiped the server and installed 7.10.20. Everything now works as advertised. This is another lesson in staying with LTS versions. Thanks all
