Another idea for a helpful shortcut.

"Merge with next and make dialogue (insert dashes)" Such shortcut would be really useful.

This is a possible alternative. https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/pull/4381
If you use "Merge dialog" when one line is selected, it merges it with the next as dialog (If the next isn't null).

It can be done via Merge with next + Toggle dialog shortcuts.

That's exactly how I'm doing it now, that's why I came up with a new shortcut that combines those two. It would be really useful.
