As you can see, MPC-HC is greyed out, but I have it installed properly on my system (K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1090_Standard.exe), it works without issues.
I'm running Win8.1 x64, both MPC-HC and SubtitleEdit are x64 as well.
Also, I'm curious on how exactly MPC-HC presence is resolved?
Where is your MPC-HC installed (full path)?
Subtitle Edit will only look in some specific places
e.g:
C:\Program Files\MPC-HC\mpc-hc64.exe;
C:\Program Files (x86)\K-Lite Codec Pack\MPC-HC64\mpc-hc64.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\MPC-HC\mpc-hc64.exe
...
Full path to executable:
E:\ProgramFiles\K-Lite Codec Pack\MPC-HC64\mpc-hc64.exe
Install path can be seen here as well.
Hmmm... I'll try to add an option to select _mpc-hc64.exe_ directory from a custom location.
Edited:
Looks like we have a fix https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/commit/e27dfa91ae63165245ef12da5e383392c9a6b40c :)
Why not just convert that VLC path field to generic path-to-executable for the currently selected video engine?
