Bug Description

Signal-desktop was stuck on 'Loading...'. After about 20 minutes, it went over to 'Loading messages, 10 so far...'. It's been that way for another 20 minutes, now. I've tried rebooting, to no avail.

Steps to Reproduce

I updated and upgraded my system with pacman, last upgrade was about 3 days ago. I'm not sure if Signal was included in that update.

Platform Info

Signal Version:

1.32.3

Operating System:

Endeavour OS, 5.5.13-arch2-1

Linked Device Version:

4.57.2, Android 10, Oxygen OS 10.0.4

This line stands out to me:

ERROR 2020-03-31T16:33:12.052Z GET https://cdn.signal.org/profiles/m8hRG8rHH1jvkS8BXWWJpQ 403 Error

There's a similar one in your debug log too:

ERROR 2020-03-31T16:00:01.954Z GET https://cdn.signal.org/profiles/02mZdgN2JVCWenLsi6yb6A 403 Error

When I browse to it I see an S3/CloudFront error

Misconfigured bucket perhaps?

Glad I'm not the only one!

Seems like there's an issue with the SSL certificate too.

Same issue as the OP (Archlinux). Downgraded to 1.32.2-1, and it loads successfully

Thanks @yhager. I downgraded and got it working again. Added to IgnorePkg for now.

We鈥檙e aware of the connectivity issues that some users are experiencing, and we鈥檙e working hard to restore service as quickly as possible.

Desktop application version is unrelated to the service issues occurring at this moment.

This issue should be resolved now. Feel free to re-open if it isn't!
