Powertoys: [Installation user experience] The installation of .Net Core 3.1 doesn't have a good user experience

Environment

Windows build number: 10.0.18363
PowerToys version: 0.18.0
PowerToy module for which you are reporting the bug (if applicable): installer

Description

I don't like the behavior of the installer/PT regarding .Net Core 3.1.
After starting I was asked if I wan't to install .Net Core 3.1 an clicked yes. Because of only the homepage is opening I clicked more than one times.

.Net Core 3.1 should be included in the installer or there should be a ".Net Core 3.1 is downloading" splash screen.

just updated and received the .net prompt. installed the runtime then tried clicking on powertoys icon on systray. Got error msg that .net was required with buttons Yes that directed me to where I had just downloaded and installed it and no that did nothing. The app functions kept running even with the error so I guess is some GUI related error.
Got .net from the link on release page, installed and now everything works.
Link opened when clicking Yes on the error:

Working .net link :

same here, i installed the new update and it told me to get .net core. i was in the process of visiting the website and suddenly .net core popped up and downloaded

How do I get Power Tools running after installing .Net Core 3.1? Power Tools doesn't appear to recognize the install of .Net and keeps asking me if I would like to download it. (Note that I installed the Runtime not the SDK).

For anyone else who runs into the same issue apparently the Runtime is not sufficient, you need the SDK. It appears to run now, but the settings page refuses to appear.

The SDK is not needed. There is something else that went wrong on your installation and got fixed when you installed the SDK.

installing the .NET Core after the PowerToys installer was the only way to support the current auto-update, we already planned to change this for future versions and have the .NET Core installer run first.

PowerToys won't run for me since the upgrade this morning. Prompted to install .net Core, but the download page at microsoft fails
