duplicate of #2072 ?

Same issue here! The steps described in #2072 cannot help, I always get the UAC prompt. It was working before, on 0.16.1, and stopped working with 0.17.
PowerToys 0.17
W10 19041.207

I also tried to uninstall then reinstall the app, but settings are kept even after these steps. And UAC prompt is still there, when you manually launch PowerToys, or when they are started automatically.

@GuiPoM
make sure to follow the steps, since it should work.
The UAC should always show when you start it manually, but for the auto start, if you follow the steps, it will recreate the auto-start task with the proper permissions and not show the UAC.

I finally managed to get it working again. But it was not that simply! I had to uninstall and make sure everything was properly removed. I am pretty sure there is something special with this upgrade, as if the task was not properly removed.
My problem is solved, which is the most important at the end, so thanks @enricogior :)

I'm using v0.18.2 and I've had to follow the steps quoted above:

Turn off "Always run as administrator" and "Run at Startup"
Reboot
Turn them back on

Pretty sure I took these steps in v0.18 so with each release I have to do this?

Same here, I did the step after update to v0.18.1 and had to do it again after update to v0.18.2.

I did an auto update to v0.18.2 and same issue occured. A little bit annoying there's an UAC prompt on every boot.

The issue didn't occur on my last update, has it been resolved?

@Tanddant
yes this was fixed in 0.19, we forgot to close the issue.
Thanks.
