Powertoys: [FancyZones] right click to toggle zone activation

Steps to reproduce

Drag a Window and press right click to select a Zone

Expected behavior

Move the Window to the Zone and nothing else.

Actual behavior

Move the Window to the Zone and open the context menu

right click is not the action to select a zone, you can use it to activate the zones instead of SHIFT.
Maybe I misunderstood your repro steps.

When you right click does this menu appear?

Yes exactly this menu or the custom ones for each Application.

Those menus are the application menus (the one I posted is the context menu when you right click on the titlebar).
In theory those menus will only appear if you right click again inside the window, since the right mouse button initially was pressed when the cursor is on the title bar, those menu should not appear and there is nothing that FancyZones does to make them appear.
Are you dragging the windows from the title bar or do you have some utility installed to drag the window from inside the window?

i think i know whats going on. when i dragging the window i have to press and hold right click -> relase left click (dropping the window i a zone) -> relase right click and then the context menu will appear.

i have installed AquaSnap but the problem is still there when i close the Programm completly

There should be something interfering, since FZ doesn't do anything beside reading the mouse buttons, so the context menu is not opened by FZ and there is nothing FZ can do about it.

We may change the current behavior for a different reason, since having to press both buttons and release the left button first while keeping the left still pressed is not ideal, so we are considering to use the right button as a switch, press it once to activate the zones, press it again to dis-activate them.

+1 to this issue.

The problem seems to be understood above but I'll try to rephrase/summarize it for future convenience.

Currently you can drag a window and use right click while dragging to show zones (instead of shift). To drop the window in the zone, you have to release left click first, otherwise the zones ui is disabled.

After placing the window, if you release the right mouse button that you were holding to show zones, it will register as a right click within that application if the mouse is still within that window.
