If I need to perform more than one action, it's very unhandy because i need to restart the tool again.
Leave Power Rename open after performing a change (or make an option for it)
Maybe pressing SHIFT or CTRL when clicking Rename as an option to keep the current dialog open, or something along those lines. Thanks.
Sounds like you want a shell ext and a stand alone exe to run, right? Both modes of operations
@crutkas I would actually just be happy with one more checkbox in the current screen where I can enable the option (option should persist after closing the dialog)
I suggest to add this option to the PowerToys Settings and not to the PowerRename dialog to keep the dialog options only for the actual rename logic.
Another setting that we can add to the PowerToys Settings is to choose to remember the dialog size and position from the previous call.
@enricogior sounds good!
@chrdavis
sounds like a nice feature to have, do you agree?
Changed title to make it easier to find.
One option:
The rename button could change to a dropdown button with "rename" the primary and "rename and keep open" with secondary option.

I like that approach, as it more closely resembles the usual "Apply" & "Ok" Buttons in Windows UX
Any update on this?
It will be a great feature, as when I need to rename multiple with different names, I need to open it many times.
I say leave the Rename action with the Rename button. This allows for multiple different rename actions after each other. You can close with [X] in title bar or with Esc or _maybe_ a dedicated Close button.
