same error on my end as well.

Same here, Win10, Kodi standard release, using the Castaetc Repo.
Logs into account fine, shows movies fine, won't play movies, gives the same error.

Hello...
Same for me on RPI3 whith kodi 18.2, using the Castanait Repo.
All ok but cant read video.

Since yesterday, the same for me.
Linux Ubuntu 19.04 and Kodi Leia 18.4. CastagnaIT repo, addon version 0.15.2
I've also tried to uninstall/install the addon, but the issue is still present.

I am using Kodi 18.2 with Linux Mint Tina 19.2.
Had no problems until this morning.
Now another annoying message regarding Netflix …
"Entity used incorrect user authentication data type"

I hope someone can fix this problem soon.
It's a real pain in the neck having to upgrade the Netflix addon so often.

Thankyou....

I'm using Rpi3-Osmc-Kodi 18.2
Same error for me too. "Entity used incorrect user authentication data type"
Thankyou for your attention!

Same for me. Latest Libreelec Milhouse daily build on Rpi2.

Have the same issue on RPi 3B+,
LibreELEC release: RPi2.arm-9.1.501
Thnx

Since the daily builds are also versioned as 0.15.2 it would be nice to know if these are official releases, or "daily" builds (e.g. downloaded from GitHub).

Same error here on a raspberry 4, LibreElec 9.1.501

The official release 0.15.2

https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/archive/v0.15.2.zip

I can confirm this issue, with the newer builds as well.

(Someone with an intimate knowledge of the Netflix protocol is required. INCORRECT_ENTITYAUTH_DATA seems to indicate "Authentication Scheme for Device Type Not Supported" which appears related to how we present ourselves to Netflix)

Coreelec (lasy nigthly) with oficial 15.02 Netflix - the same error...

I removed the 'daily'build and installed from the zip file. Still the same issue :-/

RPi 3B+,
LibreELEC release: RPi2.arm-9.1.501

yes seem this is the problem, unfortunately seem the current nf documentation is not up to date to the latest changes, is also possible they have decided to use a customized msl request

I've seen a lot of changes lately to the cadmiumplaycore, and i suspected something was changing and today the confirmation...

Not helpful, but I have to mention it definitely seems related to a change on the other side.
We have to figure out how to fix it.
No need to try uninstall/install or change anything, it won't solve the issue.

I did log out from Netflix, deleted the .kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.netflix directory and now the Entity error is gone, only this errors are left

ERROR: CCurlFile::FillBuffer - Failed: Couldn't connect to server(7)
ERROR: CCurlFile::Open failed with code 0 for http://localhost:8000/manifest?id=80993066:

Playback works again for me. Either a glitch at their side (that broke other supported clients) or they introduced a regression.

Disclaimer: I did reinstall the add-on from scratch 8 hours before, but it was still failing with the same exact issue. So IMO the reinstallation is unrelated and the cause is located at Netflix infra.

Works fine with me as well. :-)

Confirmed! Let's hope it's not temporary haha. Fingers crossed.

For me it was not that easy to get videos working again. I started to get AddonSignals call timed out errors about 30 minutes ago. I deleted both databases in ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.netflix/database, started the plugin again, entered my credentials but then the video would not start. The screen was briefly flickering but I wouldn't even see the blue loader. After restarting my Raspberry pi the video are finally playing, phew!

On an untouched system, it's working as if nothing ever happend.
So I recomend to just reboot the system if it's still doesn't works.

I turned my system on this morning to watch Netflix and no problems whatsoever.
Perhaps it was just a glitch or maybe "The Twilight Zone"....
So no need to fix the problem, since it doesn't exist. Phew....

Same here, works again here also.

Hello everyone, it works again for me ...
I did not change anything...
Probably a problem inherent to netflix ...
I think that may come back ...
Thank you all and the addon creators to be on the spot to help us ...
Sorry, it's a google translation ..
I am French...

My problem hasn't solved itself yet.

it seems that this time it was netflix fault and it solved the problem
