Supposedly there was an update in mid February that added the ability to "keep match history forever automatically"

However, match history links still expire after 1 month. https://osu.ppy.sh/community/matches/40738514 Here is an example of a match history link from 5 weeks ago; it is no longer available.

Was there an error with that update or are these links still supposed to expire after 1 month?
@DigitalHypno that update was for keeping the multiplayer results of matches done in the tournament server (for world cups), matches done in main bancho are still being deleted after one month, still can be a feature but looking at the vast amount of multiplayer matches every day, i dont think _every mp result_ can be saved.
Something can be worked i think.
@WalterToro Permanent match history links have been wanted for a while by lots of the tournament scene. Is there a way to set up something so that lobbies made by BanchoBot never expire (using !mp make)? This command is never used for casual lobbies (partly because it generates a password and partly because not much of the community even knows about these commands), so it would work well for the system to distinguish community tournament lobbies and just normal lobbies. That way the database won't get flooded with random lobbies, but the tournament community can still have permanent archives of their matches.
I'll look into the feasibility of this.
I posted this in the osu! Tournament Hub, but I'll post it here too for better visibility.
Alternatively, if it's not feasible to archive all lobbies made by BanchoBot, it may be possible to only archive lobbies from badge approved (officially recognized) tournaments. When a tournament gets badge approved from [email protected], they (the tournament) submit a lobby acronym that they'll be using for their match lobbies. The server ideally would detect any lobby made by BanchoBot that starts with that acronym, and then only save those. I didn't propose this idea earlier since imo it's not as ideal as being able to save all BanchoBot-created lobbies.
In other words, in order of priority / preference(?), the server should save:
any lobby made by BanchoBot
any lobby made by BanchoBot with an officially approved acronym in the lobby title
any lobby made by BanchoBot with a "proper" tournament lobby name and an officially approved acronym [ie. ACR: (Team A) vs (Team B)]
Option 1 is ideal because there are tournaments that may be ineligible for a badge but would still want to archive their mp links, but if it's not feasible in terms of database storage space (?) then options 2 or 3 could work too.
I've increase overall retention to 6 months and added a rule for tournament naming structure to keep matches indefinitely.
