I can not reproduce your issue ? 🤔

As mentioned in #1129, Notepad3Portable_5.20.113.2703_BETA.paf.exe.7z can be used as a Notepad3Portable application in "2 flavors" (with or without the extension ".7z"):

"Extract" the file with the extension ".7z" then run "Notepad3Portable.exe" to start the Notepad3Portable application.

Or "Delete" the extension ".7z" and run the (new) ".exe" file as a PortableApps application, then run "Notepad3Portable.exe" to start the Notepad3Portable application.

I suggest you try each "flavor" and tell us which one gives you these crashes?

Feel free to test the BETA version "Notepad3Portable_5.20.113.2703_BETA.paf.exe.7z" or higher.

Thanks for answering.
I tried both ways. The program does not start at all. This happens only with latest version. Previous versions work fine. There are no errors in the windows event log, so it's hard to figure out the reason.

Unfortunately I don't have a "Windows 7 x64" to try for myself !
But honestly, I'm trying to understand why your "Notepad3Portable 5.20.108.2699" is crashing ? 🤔
So far I haven't received any other complaints of the same kind?

For another test of "Nopepad3Portable", could you try to run "Notepad3.exe" (instead of Notepad3Portable.exe) directly in the path: "Notepad3Portable\App\Notepad3*x64*" and "Notepad3Portable\App\Notepad3*x86*" ? 🤔

Running from those paths gives an error:

Notepad3.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point SetCoalescableTimer could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll.

It is very useful for us to debug Notepad3.
At first glance, it would be related to the upgrade of "Scintilla v4.2.3" that we did yesterday. 😉
