News: All feeds marked as read when upgrading to v14.0.0

Explain the Problem

Since upgrading nextcloud news app to v14.0.0 all articles from all feeds have been set as read so I lost all my unread articles (a few thousands!) for all feeds.

Table "nc_news_items" _seemed_ to still contain all articles ever loaded, but the read state (column "unread") is wrong.

I hope I fixed it by restoring the "nc_news_items" table from a snapshot prior the app update by using a SQL backup. Finger´s crossed this didn´t crash some integrity...

• 39672 lines before restore,
• 45351 after restore
  --> so either there were many deleted during the update or now there are duplicates.

I stopped upgrading the app since everytime something broke and I'm also fed up by losing all my feeds/status. But it seems that the maintainers do not have the time...

Well I'm sorry that this happens to you but the only way to get something to move in news is to do it yourself.
I know it's not easy and all that but this app is complex and has changed maintainers and developers.
It is currently only maintained on a very low level.
If you want to change that work on it yourself or look for founding so somebody can be paid to do it.
