Hello,
it would be great, if you could implement more resolution options for the selectable download codec templates. 128kbits for m4a is OK but 160kbits and higher would be better... ;o)
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Al
I think that the list contains all the possible formatss that YouTube provides, so if there is no 160kbps it means youtube does not provide it
OK - I can not verify this, but generally HD-Streams (even FLAC?) can be found on YT. As far as I've read on some comments regarding the FLAC-Quality-Uploads is there a possibility to get a better/higher quality of the contained audiostream bypassing YTs standard compression during uploading a video....so I came to the conclusion, that higher quality bitrates and/or codecs must be available and supported.
The only streaming services that have Flac are Tidal and Deezer afaik. YouTube definitely doesn't have it.
As the others have pointed out, YouTube doesn't host Flac content. Any music found on youtube is compressed to fit into a video, then compressed again to be hosted on youtube.

Now I'm not familiar, but if this were the case it would depend entirely on the uploader performing an exploit to bypass a regulation that is in effect for 100% of every other video on youtube. At that point its a lot of work for something that's not happening a lot, and isn't going to benefit many people.
But if you really need Flac audio, Deezer is a great place to look.
