Material-theme-jetbrains: Color scheme (sometimes) breaks in PyCharm 5.0+

Any idea what might be causing the bug described here? Is it an expected incompatibility following the update?

Hi, I'm still having the same problem, but I have my own color scheme, which took me a while to build.
What can I do to solve this?
Also when I select the text, all the colors are lost.
I'm running the 64-bit version of Pycharm 5.04 for Mac.
Here is a screenshot.

Yes, it never was fixed for me. There's even a recent issue (#198) where a user mistakingly assumes that the theme is supposed to look like that. Commenting on the JetBrains bugtracker issue linked in the OP might help.
