Even I faced the issue, this procedure worked for me:

  1. Deactivate Extension & Reload
  2. Activate Extension & Reload & Live Share: Sign Out (Command Line)
  3. Live Share: Browser Sign-in
  4. [From Session Details] Click Start Collaboration Session... (only once)
