Kibana: Refresh button in Kibana 4

I've been experimenting with Kibana 4 and love it, except for one thing. The dashboard refresh button seems to be gone. This one:

It was really handy to be able to do that to manually refresh without reloading the who page via the browser. Does this capability exist in some other form?

You can just hit the search button on the dashboard, accomplishes the same thing.

I just spent 20 minutes, not being able to figure this out and then searched through github issues to find this answer. Why not just have the reload icon? It is a necessary and functional part of the UI.
