Describe the feature: Support filter aggregations (and possibly others) on coordinate map visualizations. My use case: I have documents that have a geopoint, as well as a status of 'success' or 'failure'. I was hoping to be able to build one map, add a filter aggregation to it, specify my queries, give them unique labels and colors, to visualize success and failures by location.
If this doesn't fit the model, then the ability to change the color scheme would work okay. Then we can create copies of a visualization, add multiple to one dashboard, and see red vs green on each map individually, etc. It's not obvious (or possible) to change the color schemes today.
Is the Kibana Team working on this? The Region Maps could start becoming quite useful with that!
We should be able to configure a color for each sub-bucket.
@boutcher @ludoblues thanks for the ERs, we'd need to schedule this for our roadmap
We are working on a new implementation of map visualizations and are not planning to add any new features to the existing implementation. We will take this suggestion under consideration for the new app.
