It would be great to be able to just reference a Kibana saved search in the .elasticsearch datasource.
.es(search=mySavedSearch)
, instead of having to specify
.es(index=myIndex, timefield=timestamp, q=myquery) to get a matching set
And of course you'd have the added advantage of updating the one search and having it apply to all linked visualizations.
No news about this very helpfull feature ?
@pagenbag was your request answered? I'd like to have this possibility, too.
Thanks.
Using timelion graphs in a dashboard with other visualisations based on saved searches, gives very confusing results. Allowing us to reference a saved search would definitetly be a nice improvement to timelion and improve consistency with other visualisations.
Also found https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/16826 which seems a duplicate of this issue.

Nope, no news on this yet - however , I ended up not using timelion for that anymore, so havent really been keeping an eye on timelions new features.
P.S. I've made some timelion changes in the past, and from what I remember it should be a very difficult feature to add ... if you feel like forking it and just plugging it in yourself.
