Git-updater: Can't install a new plugin from Github since version 9.9.9

Created on 18 Feb 2021  路  2Comments  路  Source: afragen/git-updater

When rolling back to version 9.5.0.7 it works, however at the 9.9.9 version when I leave Github URL with Access Token and click Install, the page is being just reloaded.

Didn't work when disabled all plugins and themes.

WordPress version 5.6.1.

Let me know if any details needed.

I can confirm this for themes. You fill in the details and click install theme/plugin and the page reloads and gone is your info. When I roll back to 9.9.8 it works just as normal.

_Other strange behaviour since 9.9.9_
I don't know if this is related, otherwise tell me to add a new issue.
I just encountered a strange error with Elementor. When I save a random option (e.g. disable Elementor fonts or colors), I get redirected to the GitHub Updater settings. And the setting is not saved. Rolling back to 9.9.8 fixed this though.

Thanks Andy and let me know if you need a video or sth!
