The multitasking view has some pretty ugly styling as you can see in this screenshot:

and by hovering over a window, no window buttons are drawn in multitasking or overview:

(I had a hard time capturing that in this screenshot)
I can see window buttons in these views, and the border and highlight in the Multitasking view would be a more of a grey shade with less intensity.

We'd already noticed this, and it was largely down to us replacing things that were deprecated in mutter with things that weren't exactly direct replacements. We felt it was more important to get it actually working and then fix visual stuff later.
Thanks for opening the issue though, it's likely work on things related to new libraries etc will ramp up in the coming weeks as some of us start running our early elementary 6.0 builds.
