Docs-website: View all Docs button click should expand the nav on the view all docs index page

Created on 22 Jan 2021  路  8Comments  路  Source: newrelic/docs-website

When a user clicks on view all docs button, we take the user to an index TOC page but the left nav doesn't expand to open all the sub level navigation, to ensure there is continuity with this action we should expand the left nav to relate to what the user is seeing on the index page.

The View all docs button on the landing pages don't work either: For example, the View all Alerts and AI docs button here: https://docs.newrelic.com/docs/alerts-applied-intelligence

Not a launch blocker, but I'd really like to have this one in.

I've noticed that the View all docs button on the landing pages don't work either: For example, the View all Alerts and AI docs button here: https://docs-preview.newrelic.com/docs/alerts-applied-intelligence

Update: We've fixed the issue linking to the table of contents page from the AI landing page. That should no longer be an issue.

@jerelmiller is there a PR for this that isn't merged to main yet? can we link it to this issue so we know when it's deployed.

@jpvajda I should have been more explicit. The issue regarding the invalid link (mentioned above) has been fixed, not the collapse behavior. There has been no work to my knowledge to fix the expand behavior on the table of contents page.
