Hello, initial 3.38 support has been added to the master branch. There are still some js warnings that need to be taken care of, but it should be functional on 3.37.90. Please report any other issues here as the 3.38 beta progresses. Thanks!

Probably the same shit with GNOME 3.36.4-1 on Archlinux. After gnome-shell update I've got inescapable appdisplay and overview screens with awesome glitches. Turning off dash-to-panel brings gnome shell to it's normal state

UPD: it's got fixed. Thank you ^^

Can confirm - this is also occurring on Fedora 32 Stable with GNOME 3.36 as of the most recent GNOME platform upgrades.

I have same problem on Ubuntu 20.04 after GNOME upgrade

I think I have the same problem. I'm using Ubuntu 20.04 and gnome-shell 3.36. When I click (show AppMenu button) the 9 dots button doesn't appear next to Activities. But the Ubuntu dock is still working. I guess with some code snippets from gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock from the following link this can be repaired:

Sorry about the picture above... when I go to [dash to panel setting -> position tab -> Show applications button] and activate it I cannot see the 9 dots application button.

@shahram10715 pleae upgrade to v39. This thread is discussing gnome 3.38.

@jderose9
So many thanks... it works now, since I have installed it recently I didn't think that it needs an update...
This extension is a MUST HAVE extension... again thanks a lot.

In my opinion the v39 release fixes the issues and this can be closed.

Installed on "Fedora release 34 (Rawhide)" with GNOME 3.37.90.
This worked, but I lost visibility of the the extentions "Open Weather by jens and "Applications Menu by fmuellner"

@P-IH Thanks! You are correct and the remaining warnings are linked to what you reported, I'll have a look at this soon!

@P-IH The issue you mentioned should now be resolved on the master branch. Thanks!

Confirmed, my OpenWeather and System Monitor extensions show up again as expected now. Good to see the gnome 3.38 support already seems to work now, thanks for that!

Thanks, both "OpenWeather by jens" and "Applications Menu by fmuellner"
work as expected

Dash to panel didn't work after update of Ubuntu Groovy Gorilla 12/9. Used the "Full installation scripts for development version" in the wiki to install. Worked OK.

@P-IH Do you see a dash to panel error in your logs maybe? I just updated my Fedora Rawhide to gnome-shell 3.37.92 and it still works fine on my end. It might be an Ubuntu specific issue. Thanks!

I also think it's an Ubuntu issue.
Attached are some lines from syslog

Still here on Ubuntu 20.10 beta GNOME 3.37.90.

The same on Debian

And on arch, which switched to GNOME 3.38 today.

@charlesg99 Looks like we should be good on this one on current master right?

@jderose9 Yep we're good on that one!
