Cryptomator: Drive Letter for Vaults isn't saved consistently on Windows

We've received a bug report that the drive letter for vaults isn't saved properly. Apparently, this doesn't happen for all vaults.

Since upgrading to 1.1 I cant replicate this issue

Thank you for the info! However, we've recently received another bug report that "the preferred drive letter is resetting back to 'assign automatically'".

We'll take a brief look at this at some point, before closing the issue.

Confirmed on Windows 7 and 10 with Cryptomator 1.1.2, 64 bit.

Just exiting and restarting Cryptomator is sufficient for forgetting the drive letter, you don't have to reboot the system.

Steps:

1. Start Cryptomator
2. Select vault
3. Select prefered drive letter
4. Unlock vault
5. Lock vault
6. Exit Cryptomator
7. Restart Cryptomator
8. Select vault

Result

• Drive letter is on "automatic" again

I've never seen that drive letters are remembered btw, so this is reproducible each & every time. I wasn't even aware that they are supposed to get stored.

Confirmed on my Windows 8.1 x64 with Cryptomator 64 bits.

Previously I've used version 1.1.0 and assigned the drive letter Z: to my single vault, which has been stored as default ever since. Then I upgraded the application and the vault to 1.1.1.

_With Cryptomator 1.1.1,_ the behavior is as follows:

Steps:

1. Start Cryptomator
2. Select vault
3. Select prefered drive letter
4. Unlock vault
5. Lock vault

Result

• Drive letter resets to _Assign automatically_ upon locking

Then I upgraded to version 1.1.2.

_With Cryptomator 1.1.2,_ the behavior is exactly as reported by @RiseT , Cryptomator maintains the drive letter selected when locking, but upon exiting and restarting the application, it is reset to _Assign automatically_ .
