Circuitverse: "Weekly Challenges"

I had a small idea to try and improve the user activity on circuitverse, and get people interested. What you could do is host a "weekly challenge", which is a challenge which people can submit to for the fun of it. A prize could be a profile badge or the like.

1. Can anyone post a challenge privately or publicly?
2. Should a group of selected people (say, for example, you guys) can post challenges.
3. How long should the challenge be active?
4. How should the winners be decided?

A weeks time might be too short for the traffic CircuitVerse is getting right now. The platform would need quite some changes to accommodate weekly challenges and it is something we should definitely look into. It is the sort of direction, CircuitVerse should be taking.

A simple/easy method would be to have users include #challenge in their submissions. This would mean no major infrastructure would need to be changed when it comes to challenge submissions, as we could just search up entries.

1. Should a group of selected people (say, for example, you guys) can post challenges.

I'm not experienced with server infrastructure, but I would be happy to do this if need be.

1. How long should the challenge be active?

Mabey a week to a month, depending on how much traffic we get.

Whomever submitted the challenge can decide?

A few more ideas I had for challenges @satu0king

• [ ] Only not/or gates

Only using not/or gates, you need to recreate every component in CircuitVerse (or as much as you can at least) as a subcircuit. You can reuse subcircuits, but for an extra challenge, make every circuit from scratch.

• [ ] Only subcircuits

You must scour the site and search for subcircuits from other people, which you can then assemble into a device. The most inventive device wins. (you can use Input/output components still). The only condition is that you cannot use your own subcircuits, and you need to provide links to the subcircuits you used for clarification.

• [ ] Wire management challenge

Have the prettiest wire management.

• [ ] No bitwidth challenge

You must create a functional computer (or ALU, dependent on skill level) without using bitwidths.

• [ ] Ooooh, shiny!

Make a light show using LED based components.

• [ ] Household items

Recreate the circuitry for a home appliance.

Since I haven't worked on backend code before, I thought I should at least try to make myself useful and suggest some challenges which could be dropped.
