calendar 🚀 - Shared calendar: changes on calendar name and color not saved.

It seems the state (calendar active/inactive) will also lost by reloading the page. After page reload all "incoming" shared calendars have the old active/inactive state.

If I load the calendar page, change the color, rename the calendar, turn the calendar on and off, then reload the page again, I recieve no errors in my global error log, nor the nexcloud specific log I have set up.

Ah. Sorry—perhaps I hijacked this thread accidentally.
I've got the same behaviour in the sense that renaming or changing colours doesn't work, but my issue is subtly different from @RailsViceRoads.

I've got problems with five (read: all) of my subscribed calendars. Some from google (both read-only and read-write), some from private servers, and this public, read-only one.

I can split my issue off into a new one if the underlying problem is not the same.

I have the same problem with the apps/calendar, that i can not save the name changes or color changes of a calendar (in this case the personal calendar, no external or something, my normal calendar) and as soon as i push the save button to save the changes i see the following in the XHR Request, which i assume is for changing it in the background.

i don't know i only installed my first nextcloud last week so i never worked with a previous version, so i can't tell you. This is just the behaviour i found on my part, don't know if it helps.

But i think an XHR Request from within the nextcloud to the same nextcloud (same user) should not give a forbidden response, can be wrong.

I experience the same Issue as RailsViceRoads. Changes in color will be lost on reload for shared AND private calendar. And more problematic: shared calenders deactivate on reload (only for the users they are shared with, not for the owner). Somehow the states do not seem to be saved?

Steps to reproduce

Change color/name of shared/private calendar OR activate a shared calendar
Reload the page

Expected behaviour

Changes should stay (changed color/name should be visible, shared calander should be active)

After the post from dylandap I tested also my personal nextcloud calendar (not shared). The same result: colour-, name- and visibility-changes lost after page reload.
I have updated now to PHP 7.3.6 and Calendar app 1.7.1 without any changes.

I don't know if this can be related in any way, but just in case... polls app started to throw error when opening it and I believe it also started doing so with updating to nextcloud 16.04 https://github.com/nextcloud/polls/issues/639

The problem is direct after calendar creating.
The owner has it activated but can´t change the name or colour.
And he can´t deactivate it, only sharing and deleting is working.
A shared user/group can´t activate it, after activation and reload, it is deactivated again.

An http error 403 sounds like access problems. Additional info for my system: I use permanent redirect form http: to https: in .htaccess file (nextcloud root directory) because I can't set this in the apache config (managed hosting).

i'm having the same problem with the 403 in the response when a user tries to enable a shared calendar in the calendar view. you can click on the icon the calendar is than shown but the response is the same like in https://github.com/nextcloud/calendar/issues/1446#issuecomment-531151244 and after a reload of the calendar page the calendar is again deselected. and i'm not on a fresh install i upgraded since version 14 everytime via the updater.phar command

I have tried an image version (sd card) of NextCloudPi and there is no Problem, everything works fine with the calendar.

So I think, the problem is in the curl script Installation.
But I can´t find the difference at the Moment.

I can confirm that we also have the same problem on Nextcloud 16.04/Calendar 1.7.1/Cloudron Platform on Ubuntu 18.04.
Every shared calendar reverts to black or grey on reloading webpage or returning to calendar after moving away.

I restarted php-fpm, then nginx after deleting the false. That worked for me.
