Arc-theme: Notification text color is wrong

Created on 24 Apr 2017  路  9Comments  路  Source: horst3180/arc-theme

After updating to GNOME 3.24 this morning, my Arc shell theme now uses this gross light green color for notification text which is hardly readable. I was looking through the .css file to try and change it but that didn't get me anywhere.

No it looks like this
notify2

Also having this problem.
As for what saturation the wrongly displayed color has, I think it might have to do something with subpixel font rendering?
I am _guessing_ that under gnome-tweak-tool -> Fonts -> Edge Smoothing @BrighBrigh has it on either Rgba or Greyscale, while @Dtygbk has it off.

I thought that too actually. All three settings make no difference, neither do changing the hinting settings. Its rather frustrating but if you're having this problem as well, I'm less worried. I was thinking that maybe my graphics card was starting to go.

Oh, well that was my guess at least. It might be my eyesight, but on mine I could swear that turning it off makes it more grey then green.
But yeah, at least no hardware faults

I guess that whatever this is was caused by some change in gnome, and will be fixed eventually. At least the actual windows are not green.
Personally, I managed to work around the problem by setting the Shell theme to Arc-Dark since that still works.

Haha right? Yeah at least the only place it does that is in the notification text. I think that's it's definitely the gnome update. I considered switching to the dark theme but I like that light there so much that I don't mind just dealing with it. Since the dark theme works I even tried changing all the values in the dark theme to the light theme values but the text still came up green. Oh well, can't win em all

I'm also having this issue on ubuntu 17.04 with gnome 3.24.

Same problem with Antergos and gnome 3.24.1.
This theme is no longer updated from March, I hope the project will not be abandoned.

same here on ubuntu gnome 17.04 3.24.1
had to revert to Arc-Dark shell theme (which works better), hopefully temporarily
