Hello!
I know that "ugly" is subjective term, but the latest Arc theme build on my Manjaro NET XFCE introduced some ugly window borders. Windows used to be without any border before.

Is this how it should look like, or not? Perhaps it is me or manjaro or xfce.

Same problem on Xubuntu 16.04.
Border is very annoying, but i think it was added for easy window resizing. But it will be better to separate borderless and current theme like solid and original.
This is because you can't resize the windows without borders (without keyboard shortcuts). I agree that it looks better without borders, but I made the change to increase usability.
You can remove the borders by deleting bottom*.png, right*.png and left*.png from /usr/share/themes/Arc/xfwm4
Thank you, but window could be resized by dragging top corners, i've used borderless theme and get used with that.
Without the borders the windows were resizeable as mentioned above. I like borderless state. One of the best features of Arc theme!
edit: The rm -rf solution works.

and for a reminder, this is how it looks with ugly borders: http://i.imgur.com/gHx2ALG.png
How can i do this with mate desktop?
One the best hacks for resizing windows is "Alt + Right-Click". Try it out near all edges and corners. Trust me, you will never use anything else.
