Antennapod: donations

I'd like to donate to AntennaPod since I use it a lot, but I don't use Flattr or bitcoin. Do you have any other options?

At the moment, there is no other way to send donations to me than the ones you mentioned because i haven't found any alternative yet. But you can place a bounty on issues on the Bountysource page of the project if you would like to reward people for working on certain features or fixing bugs.

One service I have heard good things about is Patreon http://www.patreon.com/
This is geared toward monthly donations rather than 1 time, but recurring can be a useful system for ongoing development.

Donations are not accepted for the app itself. The Flattr section is there in the app to allow you to flattr the content producers (the podcast makers). Hope that answers your question :)

Each time I click Flattr, I can actually donate to the specific creator of the podcast I am listening to? This is actually quite cool. But what if he doesn't have a Flattr account?

You don't click Flickr, really. You log into your Flattr account in the settings.
Once you listened to a specific portion of an episode (25%? 50%? Not sure), AntennaPod auto-flattrs the creator if the podcast points to a flattr account.
But Flattr is pretty dead, anyway. So I would not worry too much about this...

@mfietz oh, wow. This is actually a pretty brilliant feature. Maybe we should think of a Patreon integration then which is much more active than Flattr.

I have never seen a feed containing a patreon link.
Not sure if it would even make that much sense. With flattr, you would distribute your money based on how many flattrs each person got. As I understand Patreon, you simply give a person X moneys each month, not matter how much of her content you consumed. If this is such a "enable once and forget" thing, the patreon app will do a much better job.

Personally I would be more than happy to chip in to support the work you do on this project, or for funds you could distribute to other contributors.
